Aren't you guys disagreeing with what TheSaint said missing the point? If a product is for sale then it should be in working order.
Everyone at the developer should have known that the volume of people trying to log in would be high on release and should've had plans put in order to combat that.
Releasing something that is not 100% perfect is very different to releasing something that users are unable to get past the first login screen. Bugs are expected in-game, sure...
Am I missing something here?
Does it not say in the article that we'll be getting three games on XBO? When massive chalice is the only game that's not been around to download for a couple of months? What about the third game?
. , ! ?
Use them, Jon! For the love of everything that's good and understandable!
So a few thoughts here on GTA Online.
I've been trying to get into online since Tuesday without success. Constantly not able to even start the tutorial as the loading screen hangs.
I tried for an hour and a half on Tuesday and nearly two and a half hours yesterday evening.
I even decided that this morning before work I'd try to log in a the servers couldn't be that busy at 7.30 am and as long as I could get through the tutorial t...
Probably gonna be shouted down here, but I thought overall Infinite was a bit of a disappointment.
Just before I played it I had played Dishonoured and it seemed to me that Infinite was not as good.
It looked great, but the powers on offer and the combat just seemed to be not as imaginative as I'd expected.
Also (and again I'm prepared to be proven wrong as I try not to read about games I'm looking forward to before release)it seemed incredibly linear. I...
I'm not sure I agree completely. It makes more sense for all the console manufacturers to start pushing DD as much as possible in that the overheads of everybody involved in production would go down with no physical production of goods.
You look at how far and how quickly the use of DLC has come around this generation. Everyone would have been hugely up in arms about it had people been made aware of how prevalent it is now when the PS3 and 360 was first launched, but now it's...
I'm really quite confused by all the uproar over not being able to play used games. Don't get me wrong, I really hope that used games are able to be traded in, re-sold and played for a long time yet. But the main problem at the moment is that soon everything is going to end up being played via download. And when that happens it will kill the used game market as there will be nothing solid to be able to trade in.
It also makes the whole lending of games argument redundant as, ...
Too many people with too much time on their hands then see something that can be construed as slightly "controversial" and start shouting.
Whether the Designer was misquoted or not shouldn't make any difference. The term "Girlfriend Mode" was never meant as a derogatory statement, just that the majority of gamers are male and alot of those have girlfriends/ wives who don't play as much who may start playing more if the game were a little easier.
As...
Calm down! I'm English and it means nothing.
Our history as a nation is tarnished from the start. We got where we did by tyrannically suppressing other nations. The Brits that are depicted in this game are so far removed from those of today that it doesn't matter.
It's like Having a WWII game where someone says that it's wrong as it's all about killing Germans.
The game's no more anti-British than war games are anti-German.
Plus there ar...
Yeah, pointless video.
I killed an Elder just by looking at it!
Crapped itself so much it drowned.
Would post the video, but I don't like to brag!
No.
If anyone were to get a next gen preview then it wouldn't be NUTS.
Writer was probably too busy looking at boobies to see what he was typing!
What with all the fanboys squabbling about PS+ and Live nearly everyone seems to have missed the point that the "author" of this piece has gleaned that Microsoft MAY be about to put its subscription up to $180 a year from someone's post on LinkedIn!!!
Ridiculous!
I hate Fanboys!!!
Absolutely agree with you as I did exactly the same thing. Does make you wonder how games like Skyrim with 150+ hours of gameplay effect sales figures of other games.
But that was pretty incredible.
Well done!!!
It Seems to me that when you have a game of this size the developer can't plan for every eventuality. Everyone plays the game differently, which in turn will lead to the possiblility of having many different bugs. However much you test a game you can't get it 100% right 100% of the time. I was 120 hours into Oblivion when it came out and encountered a bug that wouldn't let me finish the Mage quests, which was a pisser!
Saying that, I'm not talking about the fr...
The first riot wasn't really anything to do with the shooting. It was typical Tottenham Youths deciding that they had a point to prove and started smashing up shops , then the looting started and lots more people got involved. After that there were lots of other youths who thought it'd be fun to do the same thing in other areas. The fact that there was someone shot and killed by police doesn't really come into it. At least the LA riots (and the Tottenham and Brixton riots in 85) s...
There seems to not be quite as many offensive comments on here as I expected. Are gamers finally growing up? Or are they just scared they'll be told off?
I'm quietly impressed that there's more arguing about which console's better than which sexuality (and I hate fanboys!)
I'm straight and married, but often wonder if Mario's 'Tache would Tickle hahaha
I gotta say that I'm really pleased with what Sony are giving! But I wouldn't be if I were a loyal Playstation user.
I have both consoles and I mainly play my xbox. I'm no fanboy, I just prefer the setup of the xbox controller, have Live and only really play online with mates so party chat makes this easier. Both consoles have plus and minus points.
Long story short my Xbox Red Ringed recently (4th time since launch) so I'm now playing my PS3 and looking for...
All *THE* grammar you want!
I've had an almost completely different experience from most other XBO users by the sounds of it. I logged straight in yesterday and played for around 4-5 hours without one problem at all.
I did get kicked to dash, but only once and it was literally the moment I'd decided to stop playing. Lag in the big cities was there but only small and definitely wasn't a huge problem to play.
I have to say that overall I'm hugely impressed with the game and they seem to hav...
